ANOTHER MORNING CUP O' COFFEE STORY

So Scott brings me my cup of coffee yesterday morning, along with a double-pointed needle. A size 1 needle. Did I mention that that was a dpn, the kind with points on both ends?

"This was poking me all night long, last night," he complained.

Oops! It was one I was using to knit the socks I am designing for Jennie; I must've set it aside while I was knitting in bed.

And did you gasp, "You didn't *bend* it did you?"

Ha. Loved Kit's comment. Sock looks great!

I've heard of a bed of nails . . . now, a bed of needles? Of course I didn't ask him if he'd bent it, but I did wonder why he preferred to sleep on it and then b**** and moan about it all the next day, instead of waking up enough to remove it from the bed.

Funny story! That's why I prefer the metal DPs--they don't break when people sit (or sleep) on them...

Love the socks! I expect Jennie will, too.
